Avi files >2GB are an ugly hack, which might work on your PC, but they probably won't work with all software avi players, neither with all hardware devices that claim to play avi files. Other avi hacks, which are not standard at all and won't play universally, include vbr audio tracks, multiple audio tracks and any video codec with b-frames.
