You may want to try to install it from SBo
SlackBuilds.org - kompozer

Please follow the short instructions provided on SBo
SlackBuild Usage HOWTO

In order to make sure that the GPG signatures ( kompozer.tar.gz.asc ) are valid, you'll need to run terminal as root.

Please submit your outcomes afterward ;)

And last but not least, why have you opened another thread of Kompozer at the Package requests section when one already exist?

I agree the topic already exist.
However, Salix OS is really good on the desktop, and targets more to the intermediate Linux user, far more than Slackware does.
To say, Salix OS is Slackware without the trouble.
For this reason installing Kompozer with SlackBuilt is not an option.
For Slackbuids you have to be more an expert user.

Thats why I ask for Kompozer in the repository so all users can use it, and not only the experts.
Pls be aware Kompozer is a really usefull piece of code.

I hope this explanation satisfies.

Reading this is on the intermediate level. Please do a little effort. It's worth it and not so complicated.
Good luck, if not I'l try to make a package for You.

Indeed :ugeek:
But the Slackbuild there is only a binary repackaging. So only i686 is available. Someone should try to fix my SLKBUILD in the other thread ;)

I have a 64bit version of salix and some of the slack builds scripts are working by default...
Some other needs to be modified - one line.
