When making a request for a specific package, please include a short description as well as links to the homepage and source code. It would make the packagers' job a lot easier if they don't have to guess what you're asking for.

Also note that sometimes, alternatives that are already present in the repositories or easier to package will be suggested instead.

And please ask nicely.
