FileBot

Post by doofus »

Hi-

New to Salix and using it as a mediacenter :)

The only thing I am missing is FileBot to move/rename and manage media.

Home page - http://www.filebot.net/

Download page - http://www.filebot.net/#download

I grabbed the deb and ran deb2tgz but it failed.

Thanks in advance :)

Your request comes just as Salix package repositories are about to close for 14.1, so you may be in luck. I'll look into it!

Which Salix version are you using?

This looks like another java app by the way. So you can just download the jar file and run it with:

Code: Select all

java -jar filename.jar

Did you try downloading and running it as gapan suggests? Did it work?

It depends on p7zip, available from Salix repositories, and libmediainfo and libzen; the latter may be installed using Sourcery. In fact I'm not absolutely sure about libmediainfo and libzen, so it would be interesting if you could try it without first, then install them too and report what difference you see.

Please do let us know how you've been getting on with it.

Another application that might be relevant is mediainfo, also available from Sourcery - if you install it libmediainfo will be installed too, and libzen in turn.
