May be it possible to update the inkscape package to version 0.91 in the repositories? :D

Homepage:
http://www.inkscape.org/
Source Downloads:
inkscape-0.91.tar.bz2 (278dfa4514adcde23546370ec2c84581)

Download SlackBuild:
inkscape.tar.gz
inkscape.tar.gz.asc (FAQ)

(the SlackBuild does not include the source)

Thank's

If that's from SBo, it's nothing to do with us. An updated version may or may not appear in due course. However, you can always download a more recent tarball (and edit the SlackBuild file accordingly) and with luck, it should build with no further changes.

Hi mimosa,

Thanks for your answer.

I prefer to download the pack from the repositories.

Why should the package be updated?

Indeed, I see it is a Salix package - from your original post, it looked as though you were talking about a SlackBuild. The same principle applies, though, in that if you really want to, you can probably build your own easily enough (see JRD's post in the topic gapan linked to).

The next Salix release is coming some time this year, it is probably safe to say, and should include a more recent version of this package.

And do you know that the way colors are managed in a newer version is in any way different?

The problem is because a bug, and I think it's fixed.

Sorry, but that is not enough to force an update. You can either build your own package (it's really easy), or wait for the updated package that will appear in the 14.2 repositories when that is released.

Thank you.

Where can I find instructions to build my own package?
