Menulibre - an advanced menu editor

Post by salix_user »

MenuLibre is an advanced menu editor that provides modern features
in a clean, easy-to-use interface and full quicklist support. All
without GNOME dependencies, so even lightweight systems can benefit
from the sanity that MenuLibre offers. MenuLibre is your one-stop
shop for menus in Linux, whether you use Gnome, LXDE, XFCE, or Unity.

It would be nice if there were a slackware-salix_14.2 built of the menulibre.

I had a quick go at building the latest version of that (2.2.1) and it didn't immediately build. Before investigating further, I saw in the README that it also has some dependencies not in our repos:
Dependencies: gir1.2-gdkpixbuf-2.0, gir1.2-glib-2.0,
gir1.2-gmenu-3.0 (>= 3.5.3), gir1.2-gtk-3.0,
gnome-menus (>= 3.5.3), python3, python3-gi (>= 3.0),
python3-psutil, xdg-utils (xdg-desktop-menu commands)
I suspect the SBo maintainer dropped it for 14.2 because it is too Ubuntu-centric. But I could be wrong and maybe someone else would like to have a go ...
