Can I use shellscripts instead of slkbuild

Post by ajaykumar.mysore » 29. Sep 2009, 10:23

I found difficult to make packages in slkbuild. So can I use shellscript build instead of using the slkbuild..?

Yes you can. But If you have difficulties making package with slkbuild, you may find it difficult with a shellscript to respect package rules.
Also, have you read this wiki page http://www.salixos.org/wiki/index.php/B ... h_slkbuild ?

I cannot see any situation where a slkbuild will not fit...because the doinst() function is already a shellscript by the way...
