Rosegarden install OK

Post by paradise »

Hello everybody !

I am French, and I have made a subject in "Forum Français" about Rosegarden installation.

Not simple, cause of many dependances and packages which have to be installed.

But it works, finally ! :)

I used 4 steps ("Etape" in french) : in the first one you can include several packages concerning sound (Alsa, oss, etc...) that I did not mentionned, and maybe I forgot one or two package/libraries, please be lenient ! 8-)
PC : ASUS P5Q - Intel Q9650 - 4 Go DDR2 1066 - eVga 260gtx 216sp - Webcam Hercules Infinite
Portable Fujitsu A 530
OS : Salix 14.1 XFCE - Fedora - Slackware

Thanks, paradise -

Have been planning to test RoseGarden for a while. Google Translate does a decent job on the post, though with some puzzling / comical parts 8-) :

It is not of the pie
lol, word by word translation of a French expression which means it's not easy at all.

My favorite phrase is "in custody of GSlapt" which suggests the package being led away in handcuffs by gendarmes. ;)

Well, "not 'easy as pie'" would make sense in English. 8-)
