Well .. if i click on ( connect to wired network ) .. or ( Wicd Network Manager ) .. --> No wireless networks found ..

What wireless card do you have? or is it USB/ 3G / something else?

If it's an internal card, please post the output of lspci. If it's usb, please post the output of lsusb.

That is (sorry if you already know this) open a terminal, type su and enter password to become root, and enter the respective command:
