Probably not. Are you having problems resolving dependencies now?
Running a mix of Slackware64 14.0 / Slackware 14.1 + Salix OS packages

Me,not at all...Salix's dependencies are bulletbroof :)

Its a handy tool that Matteo has provided though,if only for cross referencing.

I was trying to think of a scenario it fitted, http://topologi-linux.sourceforge.net/ installed on MS?
But as it is a Slackware distribution, any dependency problems lacking in Topologilinux can be easily solved by adding Salix's repositories.

Obstacles are not problems, they are opportunities to find solutions ;)

You can contact him and ask for Salix repository inclusion ;)

EDIT:
BTW: he has a nice bonsai tree on his website: http://www.teoxonline.com/ 8-)

Hi people,
i'm the developer of Slakware Package SE / Tracker, sorry for the intrusion but i found this discussion searching on google.
first of all i'm very happy to know someone interested on my project outside main lines,
i know salix since was born ...

before to start including salix repo i have some questions,
Salix packages can run in main slackware system too or only in salix os? (i've never tried)

i'd like to fetch salix repo from
ftp.slackware.org.uk/salix/x86_64/
inside there are

13.37/
and
slackware-13.37/

i think 13.37 is for Salix
and why slackware-13.37 is included?

waiting reply ...

yes

That repo does not actually contain any packages. It just adds dependency information to some slackware mirror by providing a different PACKAGES.TXT, ....

Yes, absolutely. No need to install Salix to use Salix repo. It works on Slackware itself.

Salix packages are now indexed by the Package Search Engine, available features are:
- cross referencing for package dependencies
- check for package update [new]

please report any bug and help me to popularize the project.

if you are interested you can check my new project
www slackabduction com

now Slackware Package Search Engine is part of Slackabduction
