LibreOffice 4.0

Have yet to find any Slackware builds for the new release of LibreOffice 4.0. My first impression is that it may require GTK+3, which also seems mostly unsupported under Slackware.

Any plans or news on this front?

The scripts build http://slackel.gr/repo/source/extra/libreoffice/

Binary files
32bit
http://slackel.gr/repo/i486/current/sla ... 86-1dj.txz
locale and help files http://slackel.gr/repo/i486/current/slackel/locale/

64bit
http://slackel.gr/repo/x86_64/current/s ... 64-1dj.txz
locale and help files http://slackel.gr/repo/x86_64/current/slackel/locale/

Migration from 3 to 4 is done after upgrade on first run of LibreOffice 4.0.0.3.

Thanks guys, guess I need to Quack less and slapt-get more. :-| Now installed on Slackel Openbox, where Writer works surprisingly well on my old, 750MHz laptop with 256MB RAM.

Thanks fredg, yes, my main laptop is still on Salix Fluxbox 13.37. Downloading & compiling LO from source seems like more work than just upgrading Salix.

Based on the stability I've seen so far on the older laptop, Slackel Openbox seems like a better fit for my personal needs. May wait another few weeks before making a final decision...

I will, of course, also be testing Salix 14 Live, on yet another old PC.
