I think we should also push (not force) users to build new packages for Alcoholix with SLKBUILDs.

If I remember right, this was decided some time ago. We should put it in the "Facts" section.

Something I just though about:
I vote that we shouldn't mix tlz and txz because indeed they aren't exactly the same. Packages compressed with xz can only be opened with xz and not with lzma as existent in ZW Current. But packages compressed with lzma can be opened with both lzma and xz.
So these 2 formats aren't completely the same, thus we shouldn't mix the package extensions because tlz which actually is txz could make people think that they can open it with lzma.

Either use tgz or txz. Nothing else!

could someone put a summary of package maintenance somewhere? on what procedure and on which rules to follow? i think that would be really helpful.

Just get http://alcoholix.enialis.net/i486/curre ... ch-1gv.txz and most thing will be OK by default. It's similar to ZENBUILD, but some stuff has been removed (e.g. dependency calculation).
