Konqueror is fine for FTP. No need for gftp on the iso.

for simple ftp without ssh

how can connect to simplynux.fr for example with konqueror? I cant do it.
this is the command gftp uses "ssh -e none -l user_name -p port_no host_name -s sftp"

Edit: I also like to have only kde packages in the iso. I think then that kde-beta7 iso is close to final. Please test it.

IMHO it's enough to have basic FTP support on the ISO. If someone need advanced features like SCP or SFTP support he always can install a better tool.

But try these in Konqueror:
sftp://
fish://

Here is a first try at the KDE LiveCD, based on your work:

about sftp in konqueror a message says "Protocol not supported sftp"
Ok konqueror is enough for ftp.

I have to adapt LiloSetup so that it is fully functional in beta 7. New version should be in SVN shortly.

Just tested the beta 7 and ... came on, give me back the old main menu and, above all, firefox installed by default ...

I'm really not fond of that new menu either. However, the idea is trying to offer vanilla KDE 4.4 as much as possible. Same with Firefox. Probably not that difficult or painful to change while personalizing the install. ;)
