Clementine is a modern music player and library organiser
Clementine is a port of Amarok 1.4, with some features rewritten
to take advantage of Qt4.
Homepage: Clementine Music Player
Wow, this player has evolved really far. It's small, it's fast and has everything I need :)

The kmix package is in the repositories.

And I think I like clementine too. Let's use this instead of amarok.

I'll upload it tomorrow. And yes: we should use it instead of Amarok. Saves some MB. I guess qtscriptgenerator then can be removed, too.

EDIT: What bittorrent client is on the ISO? I'd suggest qbittorrent.

ktorrent - It is very good. I think can use ktorrent.
lets use clementine.
Yes qtscriptgenerator can be removed.

Also b/c konqueror is the default browser since firefox removed, i suggest konq-plugins to be added.

Ckeck these amarok deps for removal, too: libgpod, loudmouth, taglib-extras

I just want to mention that in this particular case, of course,
Viewnior and Clementine are very minor changes, IMHO, and
these two would be in Salix OS, sooner or later, I believe.

But, for your own sake, please, remember, and know:
One voice can make a difference.

A million can change the world.

There's no need to listen to enslaving TV with
fake "Yes we can" thingy to understand that :!:

So, if you're an unregistered lurker and reading this,
register to the Salix OS forum and change some stuff. :D

That's why I always write bug reports and feature request to software I use or I want to use. Just waiting that thigs will change by itself is useless.

The look & feel of gtk apps in kde can be improved with using the gtk-oxygen-theme (was already in the repos) gtk theme and simple-icon-theme (I just added that one).

The ~/.gtkrc-2.0 file for KDE should look like this then (this should be put in skel):

Code: Select all

gtk-font-name = "Sans Serif 9"
gtk-theme-name = "gtk-oxygen"
gtk-icon-theme-name = "simple"
I think that's the best match there is for the oxygen kde theme and we should use it. Unless we find a theme/icon set for KDE that we like better of course.
