Reproducable behaviour:
* start LiloSetup
* press the edit button
kwrite starts with the file to edit
* do some changes to the file
* save the file and close kwrite
* press edit button in LiloSetup again
all changes are gone

This happened also with the live edition.

I'm not sure we should do that. We just don't know if it breaks some other hardware. A wiki article about it should be enough in my opinion.

If there is no sound you always should check volume levels first. Or what is this about?

I downloaded the Salix-KDE-beta8 iso twice, but I got md5sum errors both times. Are you sure it has been properly uploaded?

I downloaded the salix-kde-13.1.1-beta8.iso and mdsum gave me
9d28ac5858df9ef733ed9f920fb3302f salix-kde-13.1.1-beta8.iso
which is the same as the mdsum file in the server.
But I can create and upload another iso file.

Edit:
A new iso salix-kde-13.1.1-beta9.iso is uploaded on the server
md5sum 30d3f97bccc064981e3842832706eb62 salix-kde-13.1.1-beta9.iso

I run alsamixer and speaker is muted. Even if i unmuted there is no sound.
I have to put "set Speaker on" in /etc/rc.d/rc.alsa and run it and then can hear the sound.

But your md5 file is incorrectly formatted. That's why the check failed. You should create your md5 files like this:

Code: Select all

md5sum file.iso > file.iso.md5

You are right
of cource i create my md5 files with
md5sum salix-kde-13.1.1-beta8.iso > salix-kde-13.1.1-beta8.iso.md5
Download again the .md5 file from the server and check the iso file. I think it is ok now

I dont know i create correct the md5 files but something is going on with upload.
Thanks
