Audio Graphical Equalizer?

Running Salix Fluxbox 13.37, and looking for a system-wide, software-based graphical EQ.

This would need to work directly with GStreamer and/or ALSA, since Fluxbox lacks a Desktop Environment (and much of GNOME).

As background, Volti Mixer worked fine with the hardware-based EQ built into the sound card on my just-retired, very old PC. My current laptop, however, lacks any hardware support for EQ.

Thanks for any specific suggestions!

Thanks, it looks like the bottom line, for simplicity, would be the latest alsaequal which is available via Sourcery.

The only two reported dependencies are ladspa_sdk and caps, also available via GSlapt and/or Sourcery. All further dependencies appear to be satisfied for both of those packages.

Since I'm willing to use the text-mode alsamixer as the UI, it seems that these three packages will do the trick; no need for Jack, nor anything specific to GStreamer.

Any "gotchas," or recommended alternatives, before I dive in?

Not really, I haven't tried any of those myself.
