What is darkstar?

When I am booting up I notice something called "darkstar". What is it?

The special effects are particularly good. I wonder which classic Pat was thinking of?

You can always change it to something more benign by editing /etc/HOSTNAME.

All 3 of my machines are named after characters from "The Simpsons." :lol:
