Slackware 14.2 almost beta

According to PV in the Sat. Nov. 14th changelog. Looks like its almost here, which means it will be in Salix "shortly" after. :)

Looks like they are settling on kernel 4.1.13.

Yes, at last things seem to be moving on towards 14.2. But my guess is that we still have a few months until we get there.

We are almost there. We are now in beta and the kernel is 4.4. I think in a couple of months at most will be released. A curiosity. Are you already working to release the new 14.2 iso?

Some preparation have been made and are still being made, but no actual packaging yet. Experience has shown that things tend to change a lot between slackware beta and RC releases. A couple of months is perhaps a bit too optimistic, but we're certainly (slowly) getting there...

Best guess would be a 2016 release. Other than that only PV knows. ;)
