I normally use Windows.I also use a live Puppy CD for rescue work.
This is the best Linux OS I've used. Most hassle free.
I've installed it on and old laptop. The only trouble I had was the screen saver warning message. I've removed it now as I don't want to have the same warning when it's time to upgrade it again.
It has a good feel to it. I like the simple user guide too.
Well done once again.
Well done to all the contributers !

Welcome, and I'm glad you're enjoying Salix!
Please be sure to read the section in the Startup Guide on package management - this is something that works differently from Windows (not to mention Puppy), and might trip you up.
The issue with the screensaver is a longstanding one that might be fixed by doing a general package upgrade, if you haven't done that yet (see above).
Salix Live can be used for rescue work (from USB or CD/DVD).
