I'm sure. Difficult for Salix to move forward without Slackware moving as well.

In a time that distrowach celebrates 18 years old ... I think I should set the example and respect who has been here for some time... Salix as well as Slackware is alive... Just waiting for 15.0 release :D

I don't like how that the next release will use KDE Plasma 5, It's too flat. I hope someone will work on the last version of Salix to have KDE 4. Or just have 2 flavors?

KDE 4 has been discontinued, the last release was in november of 2014( 4.14.3 version) and was adopted by Slackware 14.2.
Unlike other Desktops envronments, i don´t see KDE4 being forked.. Like KDE3(Trinity) or Gnome 2(MATE).. so there is no point to continue with a (dead) DE.
I like KDE 4 and i continue to use in slackware 14.2 but Slackware next stable version must adopt Plasma 5. Nevertheless i think Xfce is the best alternative. Salix sould focus in Xfce desktop only IMHO.

Another thing that intrigues me is that Vector Linux( slackware based) is active in distrowatch and i don't see nothing active wih that distro....

It's because of Slackware-current
