Hawaii

I'm impressed. That's about all I can say at the moment. I'm writing this via a live-USB of the relatively new distro "Hawaii". I'll likely do a full install on my little laptop later. But the speed of this desktop is beyond anything I've encountered before.

For those who don't know, Hawaii is one of the first desktops to run on Wayland instead of X. Everything is built on Qt. So it has a limited selection of programs to draw from. But what I've seen so far tells me that what it has works well.

I've only been playing with it a few minutes. I'll have to install it to get a full feel for how it runs. But I'd definitely recommend taking a look at it if you're interested in exporing new distros.
