Writing some tutorials

Post by 2handband »

You'll (hopefully) be delighted to know that I've chosen Salix as the distro I'm going to recommend to noobs on my website... it beats out Chakra by a hair or two. I'm going to be writing some entry-level tutorials for installing and configuring Salix over the next couple of weeks, and will post the links here when they are available. I'm very open to suggestions, criticism, and ideas, and the reason I'm posting about this at all is that the input of other users will make these tutorials much stronger. If anyone knows of anything that I should be addressing that I might not be aware of (I haven't been using Salix long) please bring it to my attention.

a nice idea!
For a start, you can read the start up guide here. Just for your information, it is planned that some more Salix specific (and some more general) configuration tutorials/walkthroughs will be added there. For example, setting "wine".
There are other tutorials etc in the documentation section. I will move this post there as well.
