A short info/tutorial to build options and values

Post by jsfarinet » 28. Nov 2014, 09:01

Recently when i tried to install something with Sourcery i was asked to enter options. And there were give this 2 statements (which i presume they were the default: foo=yes bar=no. Now, i'm absolutely clueless about them (normally when i did not install packages but had to install a tarball by ./configure make sudo make install i trusted in the README (in case there were hints to options etc.).

Is there somewhere a link to a documentation where i could read something about (please not hundreds of pages online ... ;-) )?

TIA

"foo=yes bar=no" are just generic placeholder examples, they don't actually apply. To see which options are available for each slackbuild, read its README file. You can find that in the right click menu in sourcery.
