I think the english strings are OK like that, but if you want one changed it's probably a good idea to inform me soon, so we don't have to recreate the translations.
I couldn't use gettext so far (it might come in the future for grub2, some parts already got it in their bzr tree), so I gotta explain the localisation a bit.
You can find the locale files here: http://gaia.homelinux.org/salix/livegru ... ub/locale/
All files needed to build (including all locales): http://gaia.homelinux.org/salix/livegrub2/build.tar.bz2
The default is en_US(.cfg).
To localize just download <your locale>.cfg and en_US.cfg, it's probably easiest if you copy all the missing strings (they're actually bash variables) from en_US to <your locale>. For new translations, for which no locale file exists yet, just create one named <your locale>.cfg and copy all the strings from en_US over and translate them.
Also, watch out that you don't miss modified strings, where the translation isn't any more up-to-date!
I'll show it with one string:
en_US.cfg contains (amongst others):
Code: Select all
set Lchangelang="Change language"
Code: Select all
set Lchangelang="Change language"
Code: Select all
set Lchangelang="Changer la langue"
I already finished de_DE, you might want to look at it.
Once you're finished too, just pass the file on to me somehow. I'm looking forward to many great translations.
