Missing dependency to maxima

Post by Papasot »

Maxima is a great computer algebra system, and I'm glad it is included in Salix 15. It works well in console, but there is a missing dependency in its default GUI version, namely xmaxima (which is part of the maxima package). xmaxima won't run because it needs "wish", which is a tk application. Although a "better" Maxima GUI, wxMaxima, is in Salix repositories, I still prefer to old-good xmaxima instead. And in any case this is clearly a missing dependency anyway. So I believe package tk must be a dependency for maxima.
A pleasant detail in this forum: several people pick a picture of their pet as their avatar. Who am I to do otherwise? ;-)
