I'm not sure where to put this post. I put this here because this is suggestion for users who have freeze problem with Broadcom wifi, just like my Acer Aspire One 522 netbook with Broadcom 4312/4313 (I'm not sure :D).
The workaround is just adding " ssb.blacklist=1" in kernel parameter in /etc/lilo.conf file, in "append" line. For example, mine is:

Code: Select all

append="quiet vt.default_utf8=1 ssb.blacklist=1"
I found this in http://distrowatch.com/weekly.php?issue ... 23#feature. Hopefully this can help you who have same problem with me :).

Shador's new kernel might fix this issue as well as the problem you're having with the weird display after logging out of MATE.
