Installer Script Colors

Post by woodsman »

Hi folks,

Suggestion:

Consider changing the color of the ncurses installer scripts. I realize you folks are using the Absolute installer as a foundation, but a "baby diaper green" is not a warm or friendly color. "Eeew" is an appropriate response to that color. :)

I think Zenwalk is a bit better here with the gray and blue installer. I have always thought a "business" gray background with burgundy text is quite dignified.

Just an idea. :)

The installer color are actually the default slackware colors, not absolute colors. The problem is that we don't want to change the default slackware colors in the installed system and although you might not realize it during installation, the last part of the installation with system configuration is actually running on the installed system and not on the installation CD. So we could change the default colors for half the installation. Not really nice.
