Orphaned SLKBUILD directory/repository

Post by zAchAry »

I suggest to make an SLKBUILD repository for orphaned packages, such as MediaTomb (/13.37/salix/n/), Mongoose (/13.37/salix/n/), Prosody (/13.1/salix/n/) and others. People who would want to begin building packages can start with orphaned packages.

If you're that much interested, please go ahead. But you'll soon find out that it's another thing to maintain that eats up time and has little (if any at all) benefits.

You could probably identify them with a script.

Mongoose is avaiable in the arm 14.0 repo ;
http://salix.enialis.net/arm/14.0/source/n/mongoose/.
Just download the SLKBUILD and other files and run slkbuild.

I will most likely build a mongoose package using the latest source for 14.1. The other two (mediatomb and Prosody) are available via sorcery (slapt-src) so they will not be a priority, at least for me.
