QupZilla

Post by ericjs »

Why is QupZilla so out of date? This seems odd given that it was chosen as the default browser.

Salix repositories do not updated every time a new version of a program is out. Qupzilla will be updated for 14.1 kde salix version after slackware 14.1 release.
If you want the latest version then download the SLKBUILD and salix.patch files from here
and copy them to a folder qupzilla
Then

Code: Select all

cd qupzilla
fakeroot slkbuild -X
and upgrade qupzilla with the new generated package.

If you run slackware 14.1 then download from same link the already build binary files for salix 14.1

If there are no security issues with the package we have currently, there is no reason to upgrade.

1.3.5 is working fine on kde-4.10.5.
From qupzilla site http://blog.qupzilla.com/2013/09/qupzil ... eased.html.
I don't know if they are critical.

Thanks djemos! I just tried it on Slackel (thanks for that too), and it works great. (FWIW, the full QupZilla changelog is here: https://github.com/QupZilla/qupzilla/bl ... /CHANGELOG)
