I'm a first time Salix user.
I normally use Windows.
When I saw the screen saver warning message I thought "Why have I installed this rubbish, I should have left Windows on the PC".
It was a really big hassle to install the updated screen saver to avoid the message too.
I just want to use a practical OS and not struggle with it.
This is not a good look for first time users.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all the volunteer free time you are all spending on Salix. It's a great effort, but simple things like this derail all your hard work.
Is it possible that you can supply a friendly desk top script that can automatically install those horrible tar files?
