Herbstluftwm or similar tiling manager as option under ratpoison release, and with keyboard friendly tools (dmenu, rofi,vimperator) to go along with the purpose of the ratpoison window manager.

pre-installed tools that are in line with the 'do one thing well' saying, and an installer for more complex tools within categories (keeps the OS lightweight while offering easy path toward a more complex system.)
