Salix ports

Would freebsd-like ports for salix is good idea?
a third party tool already exists for this in Slackware: https://slackbuilds.org/repository/14.2 ... /sbotools/
Does not really apply to Salix unless you want to rebuild packages in a VM for your Salix box.
