On the newsstand issue of the Italian magazine Linux Pro, there is a nice review of Salix. Get 9 votes out of 10... 
In English:J’ai installé une Salix il y a plusieurs semaines sur une petite machine portable avec 2go de mémoire et je dois dire que j’en suis content, alors que toutes les autres distributions mettaient le ventilateur en émoi, seul Salix reste silencieuse.
I installed a Salix several weeks ago on a small laptop with 2gb of memory and I must say that I am happy with it, while all the other distributions put the fan into a frenzy, only Salix remains silent.
