Can't Send MaIl any longer

Post by Atip »

For whatever reason I cannot send mail any longer neither with kmail
nor with seamonkey-mail or for that matter claws-mail.

kmail reports:
Failed to transport message. smtp.smartbro.net: Connection refused
]/quote]

and seamonkey-mail says
[quote
Sending of the message failed.
The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.smartbro.net failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.
Until now smartbro.net has been my smtp on port 25 for outgoing mail.
I had mt neighbor who knows more than me check with traceroute and he said that port 25
is not blocked by smartbro.net.

I am aware that this is not a Slint problem, however, hope someone might guide me
in the right direction to solve this problem.

I have no problem with browsing und using my the mail server program fastmail.com.

Maybe the problem is with smartbro.net. Doing pings and traceroutes from here results in no response from smartbro.com.

Code: Select all
