Good catch Hugo. That's most probably the cause of the issue as HandBook.adoc in this repo was an older version.

Sorry to have introduced this confusion I just removed the repository slint-doc which was obsolete and redundant with slint-translations.

I just saw on Crowdin that Swedish translation is 100% done. Thanks Ingemar for the hard work!

Hi Didier

I have now translated the Swedish HandBook, but there is some parts that don't get translated when i create the document.

This is how it looks in the html file.

Code: Select all

Links for financial contributions: + Become a Slackware patron or Support Slackware + Follow the links on top of this page to support Slackware UK + Donations to Salix

and:

Download and verify a Slint ISO image + Write the ISO image on an Installation Medium + Optionally, prepare partitions for Slint

and more
There is also links that don´t work, example:
In the English version:
Examples of commands are provided in [bash shell].

In the Swedish version:
Exempel på kommandon finns i [bash shell].

I am still checking to see if there is more errors in the translation, the machine translation had a lot of weird translations

Hi ingemar,

Indeed machine translation needs a careful review.

Anyway I have downloaded your translation and built the html page a few minutes ago, and after a quick look it looks quite good to me.

I have even used this Firefox add-on to read it in French on the fly :)

Thanks,
Didier

I use Deepl Translator https://www.deepl.com/translator which, in the case of Portuguese language, is much better than Google translator. Google translator translates the Portuguese into Brazilian Portuguese, that is, it translates the variant instead of the official language :? anyway...
I can still use Google Translator but it needs more attention.
However, human intervention is almost always necessary if a perfect translation is to be achieved.

Bad news...

I paste below a message that I just posted on Crowdin:
I realized today that due to a bug in xgettext , in shell scripts for lines like below:

gettetxt -s <string>

<string> was not included in the generated POT file because "-s" is mistaken for the argument of xgettext.

So, I rewrote all such lines removing the -s option in the shell scripts "functions" which is the source of auto.pot, then regenerated the POT file and updated in Crowdin.

As a result you (and me for French) have 73 more strings to translate in auto.pot, sorry for the extra work.

Nevertheless I will provide a new ISO today or tomorrow but also another one when auto.pot that were at 100% will be at 100% again.

Thanks for your hard work, everybody!
PS: translators, are you informed when a message like the above is added as an answer in a discussion in Crowdin?
