Can you run other gtk apps? If you can't, run

first. You'll need salixtools-1.6.0 for that.

It now works; but not when called from the command line (as root). Perhaps it's not meant to. I suspect that one of the earlier steps fixed it, but because I was in maintenance mode, I kept calling it from konsole. In any case, my friend can now watch anything. :D Thank you!

you cant run it as root from command line.

In the first review, the linked name at the start of the article appeared as lackel rather than Slackel. Does it look that way to anyone else?

Thanks i corrected.
In the first review it was like this yesterday. It seams that author has corrected it.
