I've just updated my b43-firmware 'how to' using screenshots (I still need to remove the borders) to better illustrate how to use the script but I'd like to move all this information to the wiki.
I've noticed that no one else has used screenshots, is this a standard or am I free to use them?
Thanks.

Re: Screen usage on the SalixOS wiki?
I'm for using screenshots! + more inexperienced GNU/Linux (b43) users will arrive here

Screenshots are helpful. Please feel free to go ahead.

What really matters is where you are going, not where you come from.

Cool, I'll start writing it in the next few days (hopefully).

Very nice witek
One thing I noticed on the last version of cups (since slackware/salix 13.1) is that you don't need to set up the printer in the Linux clients anymore. Once it is shared it on the server, as you showed on the first part of your article, it automatically seems to be available on the Linux clients.

I`m setting up a small network in my office. I`ll check if the CUPS sharing really works automatically and modify the wiki accordingly.
EDIT: I have a laptop connected by wifi and it is in a different subnetwork, thus it doesn`t see the server with CUPS. The method described in the wiki still works OK for it and I emphasized this in the wiki.

That explains it, thanks for the precision. Very useful wiki article.witek wrote:it is in a different subnetwork, thus it doesn`t see the server with CUPS. The method described in the wiki still works OK for it and I emphasized this in the wiki.
