Nvidia driver doesn't get used automatically
After installing the nvidia driver at a friends PC it doesn't get used automatically. I have to set up a xorg.conf first.

Did you try using nvidia-xconfig?

Yes, this works fine, but perhaps it's possible to use nvidia driver instead of nv driver if it is there. On the other hand we don't have to over-simplify everythinglaprjns wrote:Did you try using nvidia-xconfig?
