Great thread and an awesome OS. Slack was my first intro to Linux in 1998 (you always go back to Slack!)
Anyway, as a 64-bit user, when the installer asks whether or not to install 32-bit compatibility libraries for openGL,
(or some such thing) should I respond with a YES or a NO?
Thanks a million & rock on!

Re: Easy install guide for nvidia
You can chose "no" because Slackware 64 has no multilib support.

Outstanding. Thanks, thenktor. I chose "No".
Also, I did the "init 3", "install", "init 4" thing.
Rebooting doesn't actually seem to be necessary.
Besides, rebooting would harm my uptime

Yes, you don't need to reboot. What's your uptime at the moment?
