Certification Authorities (CA)

Post by thenktor »

Hi,
2 questions:
1. What certification authority for server certificates would you recommend for commercial use? And why?
2. Is it possible to get a non self signed certificate for personal usage for free?

https://www.startssl.com/

1. Because their business model makes more sense. You pay to verify your identity, after which you can generate as many domain and subdomain certificates as you need. Lots of positive reviews
2. Yes.

Thanks for the tip. Of course I've forgotten "for free" at my second question :D
