Upgrading to Salix 13.37 - sensible packages
Upgrading to Salix 13.37 - sensible packages
Hi guys. I have a newbie question: I upgraded salix according to the steps of documentation-wiki for version 13.1 to the 13.37. I updated the package zzz-settings, kernel, udev, util-linux and I had no problems. Should I upgrade packages as "aaa_base" and "rootuser-settings"? Or do I leave without updating? Thanks.

Re: Upgrading to Salix 13.37 - sensible packages
You should not upgrade them:
aaa_base: contains the initial directory structure for your system (/bin, /lib/, /root/, ...). You already have all directories after upgrading the other packages.
rootuser-settings: contains some desktop settings for the root user

Thanks. Good thing I asked. It could have been a disaster. Good job with Salix 13.37.
