Hi,
not sure whether its the right place to ask, but I am missing the linguistic modules in OOorg. Currently neither spell checking not hyphenation works.
Where can I find these modules or how can I activate if they should be there already

Re: linguistic modules for OOorg
I think so- at least gslapt tells me I did.
I can select "German" as language, but neither spellcheck nor hyphenation works...
I downloaded a other dictionary, but dont know where to file and how to activate.
Found some instructions on the web, but cannot locate the ooo directory...

Ah... right! Now I remember!
Spell check and hyphenation are not included in the langpacks! They can be installed as plugins from the OOo website. You can download the plugin (an .oxt file) and add it to OOo using the Plugin Manager (in the Tools menu).

Yep!
Just got it managed! The trick was to invoke the "extension manager" and select the package!
Now its there!

Re: linguistic modules for OOorg
One remaining question:
in what path are all OOo files stored?
I am getting a bit puzzled all the time when looking up files...
In this case, now that I have activated the new linguistic module, where is it stored?
Reason, I want to get rid of the downloaded package or move it to a other place.
But as it is active, is it also copied somewhere in the OOo directories or just linked?
If it is linked I have to take some measures.
Thanks for spending some light

Somewhere in your ~/.openoffice.org2.jpg153 wrote:One remaining question:

You don't do that manually. You use the Extension Manager for that purpose. Or you're probably looking for a good way to break your OOo.jpg153 wrote:Reason, I want to get rid of the downloaded package or move it to a other place.
