network manager

Post by witek »

Hi,

I wonder if I download all packages from
http://download.salixos.org/i486/13.0/salix/gnome/
then:

1. Will I have Gnome Network Manager?
2. Do I need any additional dependencies from other directories as 'l'?

I cannot download these packages directly as I don`t have network yet where I need them. In order to have internet I have to configure connection via 3g network. I have problems using wvdialer. I was able to connect from Ubuntu`s network manager. That`s why I`m asking.

No. Network manager is not it there.

Yes. You can look in the dep files to known which ones.

I guess you can look at the gnomeslackbuilds project, they offer a network manager package (and a complete gnome), but you'll have to sort out the dependencies yourself if you're not going to use slapt-get.
