Torrent tracker Isn't working

Post by kuina »

In version of 13.0.2, torrent tracker isn't working.
Although I have been Seed with the normal download ISO, the current state is inefficient.

What do you mean? My vserver is seeding and uploading fine at the moment. Also I don't see anything wrong at linuxtracker.org :?

transmission does report an error: Tracker gave an error: "unregistered torrent pass" But I'm seeding just fine anyway. Could be something wrong with the tracker...

Seems to work well if you get them straight from this page:

http://linuxtracker.org/browse

What really matters is where you are going, not where you come from.

For some weird reason the torrent files in the linux tracker page were different than the ones in our servers. I have replaced the ones in our servers with the ones from linuxtracker, which seem to work fine, so they should all work now (firefox might cache the download and you might not get the updated torrent though, just had that happen to me, so better use wget instead).

Thanks for the report kuina. :)

Thanks for the report.
linuxtracker.org is kind of a "private" tracker. It adds password hashes to the initial torrent for linuxtracker.org users and obviously fir anonymous users, too. So the initial torrent won't work and we had exact these initial torrents on our servers :) So it worked for everyone getting his torrent from linuxtracker.org.
