Forum language issue?

For some reason, my email confirmation request was in French (I think?):

My notification emails have been in something completely foreign to me... my global settings in my User Control Panel options list me as Brittish English - any suggestions? Example text (not sure if it will display properly, but I'm copying and pasting from email):

Unfortunately we can't find a way to fix it...
