Lock Screen?

I have tried various settings on the screensaver application to get my screen to lock after several minutes of inactivity but nothing seems to work. What can I do to get the screen to lock?

What various settings? There is only one setting actually. "Lock screen after X minutes". Works fine here. Does it work if you lock the screen by using the option in the File menu?

I have created an activator for the command xflock4. It locks screen when I need it.

xscreensaver-command -prefs

and see what options you have. You can also manually call xscreensaver by
