Hello,

Just jumping into this thread, so please pardon me if I missed something... I have compiled and use broadcom-sta on my Aspire One 722 and I have everything working great.

It looks like you have the correct module ("wl") loaded. What you can do is

iwconfig
from the terminal and I think you will see that the wireless is "eth1" instead of the normal "wlan0". Not sure if you've done this already, but in wicd you need to manually change the wireless from "wlan0" (default) to "eth1".

No worries - especially when you brought the answer to the table :D Thanks a lot. I would have never solved that one. That is truly a weird configuration.
