[Solved] Fonts issues

Post by SPlissken »

Hi again

With xscreensaver-demo and Noseguy (one of the screensaver) i have this message
noseguy: could not load font -*-new century schoolbook-*-r-*-*-*-180-*-*-*-*-*-*

And so this screensaver "noseguy" does not work.

I tried to install different adobe font , but it 's still the same

Any idea are welcome.

Same here on a fresh installation. It works in my daily use laptop though. I'll try to find what's wrong...

I get the same error. 13.0.2a full install. The font seems to be present, at least it shows up in xfce-settings-appearance-fonts.

Edit: I changed the font to 9x15 in the screensaver settings and it works with that.
The "ant-spotlight" whatsit freezes my computer but that's a bug in xscreensaver I believe.

The package that needs to be installed is font-adobe-100dpi. It's not installed by default but I will add it for the next release. Perhaps you need to logout and back in for xfce to realize it's there.
