Netsurf?

Post by retriever »

I learned tonight about a browser called Netsurf. Has anyone used it? Is it as good as Midori?

Why not try it out? It's available from Sourcery. I looked it up on Wikipedia, and it sounds like an interesting project, though it may not be as mature as Midori (it may lack some features and be less stable). As far as I can tell it doesn't use webkit (the library which is responsible for the underlying functionality of Midori and a lot of other browsers) so it could be one to watch.

EDIT It has a dependency Sourcery won't tell you about - js185. SO install that first with Gslapt.

It's OK if you want to browse static webpages. Anything more complex than that and it's not that useful.

Thank you for responding to my post. I am liking Midori, but might give Netsurf a try once it matures.
