[Xfce] Salix Desktop Launchers are not executable

Post by zAchAry »

When clicking on one of the two Salix Desktop Launchers, a warning dialog of Untrusted link launcher appears.

These two particular launchers should be executable by default.

What browser are you using? I can't check right now, but I don't remember anything like that.

Installing dconf resolves the engrampa problem.
Clinking on "Mark Executable" resolves the Desktop Launcher problem.
Make them executable with:

Code: Select all

chmod 755 /etc/skel/Desktop/salix*

OK, they will be executable in 14.2... but I still don't get it. Why did this show up only now?

How else would you fix the lack of dconf-editor in Salix 14.1, then?

This message is relatively new in recent versions of Thunar and Xfdesktop, and it was not available in versions of Thunar and Xfdesktop in Salix 14.0.

What does dconf have to do with this?

Still, why didn't anybody notice it until now? It's been almost a year...

I meant to releasing a new ISO of Salix Xfce 14.1, that is if you have no intention to release a new ISO. See http://forum.salixos.org/viewtopic.php?p=35246#p35246.
